I think the IRC gnomes came and built it one night when everybody was asleep.

I don't understand chat rooms.
Whenever I think of anything to say, everyone's moved on to talking about something else

forum > channel.

IRC is frequently too slow or too fast in terms of conversation flow. Forums, not so much.
IRC seems more prone to arguments breaking out, due to the lack of lag time between people expressing something.

Neither is "bad," just forum is preferable for me.

I prefer IRC.. For sure you can take longer to think what you want to reply on the Forum but I find that I take too long worried about spellings and deleting half of what I want to say. On IRC you say it and cant take it back so is much more honest.

When I am on the forum I have to read every post before I can reply incase I missed anything so when a topic is past 3 pages it can take over 30 minutes before you read everything and can give your opinions. This means I mostly ignore topics which are too many pages and to me this is the big flaw of forums.

On IRC it is difficult to talk to too many people at once.. I can only be mentally focused on 2 or 3 people otherwise I fall behind if I look at everything else being said. Then people start feeling ignored and you cant keep up if you tried to listen to them too. So IRC chats are limited to very few people but forum topics can include everyone who is willing to read through hundreds fo posts before they say something.

They both have good and bad points.. I dont get noticed on the forum because my English skills arent so good but on IRC I feel like I get noticed more because people dont judge you by your English skills as much.

Oh. I thought there was a church of garilc on this site. I was going to enlist their aid in the eradication of these gnomes but it's leprechuans that are allergic. Is there a church of horseradish on this site?
