Rincewind is the guy in my avatar now, 'cos he's so bloody funny. The signature has been roughly translated as "Oh excrement, I'm gonna die!" in the Discworld novel Interesting Times. Rincewind is a cowardly 'wizzard' who nontheless has ended up in many situations where he has done good things. He considers running away a religious belief. It may not give you eternal life, but with the dangers he comes across, it certainly gives him MORE life....

I saw a picture of him in that book about the art from Discworld. I just looked at a few pages and put it back on the shelf. I couldn't find what I wanted...

If you can find The Last Hero in your library, try it. It has pictures, but is also a serious (and seriously funny) Discworld book.....

Rincewind is my favourite character - I like his philosophy :lol:

Sam Vimes runs a close second for me - especially in the earlier books. I can empathise with the early Sam!
