I rule the forest here.

Well those and thou may be masters of your stretch of forest, but I decided to make inquiries locally and found out this lady is the rightful and duly recognized ruler of all the woods along the west side of the south fork.

The toads have been trilling at my Lilly pond for days,I go out with a light and look at them.

I absolutely love forests. They're so pretty and they make me feel happy and calm. That and I love nature anyway which probably adds to it. It could also be because I associate them with nice long walks with family/friends.

I have recently been on a camping trip to a mountainous area, with lots of beautiful woodland in the valleys and on the slopes. Unfortunately, at this time of year, biting insects seem to rule the forest; bites cover my arms and legs. It was worth it, though, particularly reading my book at sunset with the canopy above me, the mountains visible beyond the trunks, and the sweet smell of the summer air...

i like forests better when the trees are really spaced out and there's a lot of empty space, instead of really dense patches of trees.
