Do you get embarrassed when your stomach rumbles?

my stomach complains to me in borborygmi dialect, telling me to get on the stick and feed it.

A little bit, although it happens so often that I've mostly gotten used to it. (my tummy rumbles when I'm nervous, which is quite often) I think the only time I've been really embarrassed by it was during my GCSE exams, where sometimes it would rumble every 30 seconds because I was so nervous. It sounded extra loud too because of the silence in the exam hall, it sounded like there was a dying whale in the room.

yes. it was really bad in 8th grade and 11th grade. when it would rumble i would make another sound or talk to someone to try and mask the sound.
i find it really embarrassing...but thankfully i don't think anyone else has pointed it out.

given a choice between borborygmi and crepitation, I'd choose the former.

Not really. To me, my stomach is at an appropriate-enough volume for just me to hear it. It usually never occurs to me for anyone else to hear it, too, though I would anticipate mealtimes during this time.

When other people comment on it or look my way when my stomach rumbles, that is when I get embarrassed.
