I'm doing a two week fast-two small meals a day. I'm on day 4 and I'm already thinking about where I want to go out to eat when it's all over. I want to know, where would you go to eat after a two week fast? So far Golden Corral and Outback Steakhouse have been considered.

anywhere with lots of big juicy meat.

When Im fasting I fantasize about meat, buckets of chicken, racks of ribs, whole pork joints. However because my stomach has shrunk so much Im normally full after a few bites.

I hope you enjoy your well earned treat!

Half a drink at the bar should last you all day :)

Any Asian restaurant, Burgerville, or McDonalds, but McDonalds as a last resort.

I'd eat at home: homemade cream of leek & potato soup, a big, rare steak, & ripe raspberries for dessert. :chef:

In the circumstance I don't have enough money for a restaurant, I'd go to the grocery store and buy myself a pizza.

Whats the point of fasting if you are just going to eat a huge unhealthy meal afterwards?

There is an excellent Gujarati cafe that serves some amazing dishes. I would call that my favourite eatery. However, that would not be the first place I went. There is a greasy, tiny curry house near where I live. It has plain white tiled walls, and red moulded plastic seating. It's always crowded and quite often steamy. The counter is like a cafeteria. You walk up with your plate, they pile rice on the plate, then any curry combination you like. But the curry's don't have names, just ingredients. Chicken, lamb and turnip, potato, daal. Proper family cooking. More than you can eat for less than the cost of a pint. Greasy, sloppy, tasty, hot, satisfying food.

That is what I would eat. Now stop it, you're making me hungry.

Back in the days I would've been happy to dine in a nice Chinese restaurant that served fresh shrimp with lobster sauce. Now that I'm a vegetarian I'd go to an Indian curry place or a place that has Jain cuisine.

I'm fasting for spiritual reasons. It has nothing to do with dieting.
