I have always obsessed heavily over this car, but recently it's all I can think about. Wake up, S65. Take a walk, S65. All day, S65. I even fall asleep thinking about S65.

So, after the third week of intense S-class obsession, I decided to come up with a solution. My proposed fix: I neeeeeeed an S65 AMG.

Now, whenever dealing with a fixation, my ways of logic are split in a way that one always battles the other. The side housing my more conventional logic sees that a 2015 S65 AMG, designo paint, interior, and all, is $230,000. A bit out of reach at this point. Ergo, enjoy looking at it but move on and actually live.

My Mephistopheles-like Autistic Logic clings onto AMGGGGGGG SEDANNNNNNNNN, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEE AMGGGGGGGG SEDANNNNNNN, I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED S65 AMGGGGGGGGGGG!! ! And this is the logic which usually wins these skirmishes, so I am left bent on S65 AMG.

So-if anyone would care to lend me advice with this (or talk about AMG or Mercedes), then feel free!

I know your feels bro. I used to be obsessed the same way towards Shelby Mustangs (the outgoing model). Now I'm more obsessed with cars I hope to realistically afford one day soon. I'm obsessively shopping despite not being ready to buy for at least another year.

I really want an AR-18. Always have, always will.

Got stupid laws stopping that.

Though I guess the laws and $200,000.00+ are equally inaccessible for most people.

Quite frequently I lurk around the websites of Mercedes-Benz dealerships, checking each inventory for an S65 or S63.

Not in the slightest.

If I did, then I'd be seen driving many roads, going hither and thither and back again, in an S-class.

if I had mounds of moolah, I'd have me a harem of cars. I'd own mint-condition specimens of the following-

*late 80s/early 90s Mercedes 300 sedan/e-class
*AMC Pacer
*Citroën DS
*1988 Cadillac Sedan De Ville base model [with cloth interior as I hate leather], in pink mary kay edition
*1993 Cadillac Sedan De Ville base model [with cloth interior] pink mary kay edition
*VW Karmann Ghia convertible- pink
*2004 Toyota Avalon XL taxi edition [bench front seat and column shifter [used to own one]
*1998 VW new beetle in pink

But now if you somehow got a whatshamacallit, would you then find something new to obsess on? I mean if there is that aspect, isn't it never really satisfied?

That reasoning (which is true in my case) has helped me avoid getting some things.

update: S-class obsession is still dense within my cranium, but less intrusive as before. I am able to think of other things now :)

(I still would prefer to own an S65.)

Just think of the insurance and servicing costs. Try to find bad reviews of the car online.

I got lucky with my dream car, it's both reasonably cheap to build and has relatively decent insurance rates.
Sadly they're still stolen at obscene rates.

Ah.

I am a truly obsessed Mercedes stanatic. I shall defend my car with whatever. I can see the high insurance and service costs (not to mention its 16 miles per gallon fuel economy on premium gasoline!) but those facts dissolve somewhere between my regular cortex and my Mercedes cortex. I still continue to fixate on the car.
