Wikipedia says there are "0.03 to 4.84 per 1,000, with the ratio of autism to Asperger syndrome ranging from 1.5:1 to 16:1" = not that many of us.

Among those, I wonder how many can find fellow Aspies with the same obsessive interests???

Mine has always been homesteading, which is a great obsession because it is so broad - practically bottomless. It's kind of in vogue right now, but few people are truly living backwoods off-grid lifestyles. I think the idea of being a hermit is more romantic than the practice. And don't get me going about "eco villages" or "intentional communities," which I feel can be worse than HOA's at times.

Anyway, I'd love to find other Aspies who truly want to homestead. I'd love to have Aspie neighbors one day. I love the idea of community that respects individual need to be alone. Anyone?
