I have some friends that are into it, but, no, I have no interest in it at all. I dont really get it.

I am Furry and glad to see others are here too. I enjoy reading anthro/furry fiction and comics. don't have any interest in the yiffy side of it. I love the fursuiting and design and effort that goes into them. I also am Therian and soutthpaw is a Siberian Tiger/Tigress depending on my mood. I just joined a local furry group, we had an inital meet and greet and it was awkward for the first part till we got the playing party games which I could follow and had fun. I am not social at all so it was a huge accomplishment for me.
I am hoping to go to Anthrocon 2013... Will have my fursuit by then. may go to Califur in June but no suiting. Probably take my kids for the day. Rocky Mtn Furcon in Aug... Anyone that wants to get together if attending any of those events, please contact me..
I want to get my fursuit because of the fact being Deaf I can actually blend in much better as I don't have to listen or talk to anyone. Though I need to find a handler that knows ASL... :wink:

For me, I'm not real into it. Granted I do have an idea for a story based of furries, and I have thought about doing the art for some profit, but as a personal level, no. I have a few friends that are though, and they're pretty chill.

My teenage daughter told me she was a furry and I didn't know what she was talking about exactly. All I knew was an old CSI episode about a furry who was accidentally shot in his costume because he was mistaken for a coyote. There was a lot of odd sexual stuff in it that I am pretty sure she's not into.

i hate the stereotypes that get fed around the net. i watched people on da for many reasons, and many different artists and there were good ones and bad. it didn't matter what they drew. and alot of the nicer ones left due to harassment of some kind. alot of artists who i admired for their skill are gone.

How come there are two nos and two yeses? Anyway I'm not a really furry, as in I don't wear animal suits or when it isn't a holiday when dressing in such a way is acceptable, like Halloween, or Christmas and Easter when I can get away with wearing antlers or bunny ears.

I hate it when people assume I'm a furry or use more vulgar terms because I draw cartoons of "funny animals".
Relating or comparing ourselves to animals, positively or negatively just seems to be an ironic human thing. But then again we *are* animals, even if we don't like to admit it.

Apparently dressing up as something or something you aren't psychologically means you don't like who you are and not only because it's fun to pretend. I guess soon even little kids won't be allowed to wear costumes any more.
