Dogs are good pets. Just watch out for their horrible poo. Yuck. I can't stand horrible smelling poo, though at least the cat poos either in the litter box or nearby it. Why don't dogs do that?

When I was home alone a few years ago, I had an epileptic fit. My dogs sat with me until I could get up again, because they were clearly very worried about me. My cats, on the other hand, couldn't have cared less :P

My dogs were always better companions to me than my cats have ever been.

Dogs can do that if they're trained to do so, same as tringing them to go outside, know where their beds are and become familiar with various commans. I know of indoor rabbits being trained to use litter boxes too.

Don't you guys think that calling an entire species an "epic failure" just because it doesn't act exactly like you is kind of... oh, I don't know... lame-ass?

Why settle for a two-square-foot box when the world can be your toilet? :D

By the way, ahayes, the cat who lives in my house looks a lot like the cat in your avatar, except she doesn't have a streak of white on her back.

I'm about to take a 2 hour walk with my 3 big outside dogs. If I did what my inside cat wanted I would be sleeping 16 hours a day.

I have a huge wooden gecko hanging on my wall. There were no frogs available at the time I bought it.

Since then asian geckos have moved into our region. They are different from our natives in that they are noisy. I have to clean up dog poo from 3 dogs, and now I have to clean up gecko poo too!

I think she means she hates them because they're like humans.
Cats are like some humans, yeah. But not the majority.
Dogs are like NTs. Cats are Aspies.
By the way, I don't dislike dogs, I just prefer cats. Dogs can be cool too.

I love my dogs, but have been told they are very catlike. I've never owned a cat but I'd like to some day. One thing I dislike about cats is they way they destroy the native fauna here, but that is more relevant to responsible pet ownership than a dislike of cats. And dogs kill native fauna too.

Both? It's the loyalty which gets me. Never
saw them as too human. But, the way that
they live and exist seemingly for the whim
of their master bothers me (only humans
should do this  ). It says something
which really bothers me about the people who
have dogs as pets - how they must crave that
absolute obedience, yet not have the strength
to command it from another human.
