I get to carry on another Friday of my anti-Lent observance by going out and indulging in hamburgers for lunch and dinner while most everyone else seated around me is eating fish.

I'm from Louisiana & there's lots there. Thing about not eating meant on Fridays during Lent is that it's about abstaining from something you enjoy. Yet the people in Louisiana love seafood & eat that on Fridays during Lent so the whole point about abstaining is kind of lost on them.

You got it. Very Hispanic neighbourhood in the Commerce City area. Also as Nick mentioned, most of them enjoy seafood anyway, so their Lent observance is compleatly pointless. At least my protest is on-the-spot as I'm indulging in everything i enjoy (that I can afford, of course) through Easter.

I have to admit this heathen is seldom aware of those religious holidays. they just sail right on by and I'm thinking of other things in the meantime.

Not much, but I watched my favorite anime today, Boku no Pico. Every night when I go to sleep I pray that Pico visits me in my dreams.
