Just because an animal is a herbivore does not mean it's sweet, peaceful and harmless. Just because an animal is a carnivore does not mean it's cruel, vicious and dangerous.

Whenever I read a book about dinosaurs when I was younger, it would always say something like, "The stegosaurus may have looked ferocious with but was a peaceful plant eater. The plant-eating dinosaurs were peaceful, gentle giants while the meat eaters were savage killers and blah blah blah..." :roll:

Hippos are herbivores but they kill more people in Africa than lions or any other predator.

where i live( i live in a sexy low class area) there are a lot of cats in the streets everywhere, and most of them are wild and aggressive

Today I told a friend that monkeys have prehensile tails. She didn't know what prehensile meant. I told her it means monkeys can use their tails like an extra arm and can grab and hold things with it.

Wow, some people really need to crack open a book once in a while, know what I mean? :)

The praying mantis is not actually praying when it holds its front legs up together. It is hunting. It should be spelled "preying mantis" instead.

I read that some people keep praying mantises as pets. They're kind of like a cat in insect form. They wash their faces like a cat, can look in all different directions which makes them appear intelligent and curious, and can be trained to drink from a teaspoon of water.

The way the female devours her husband when mating, though... ick. 8O
