What was your school uniform like?
Those that went to a school that had a school uniform (I know lots of USA schools don't have uniforms).
I'm just interested in what colours your uniforms were when you went to school.
My first school we had the choice of blue or red sweatshirt with white polo shirt, and grey skirt/shorts/trousers. My second school we had the choice of green or black sweatshirt, with choice of green or white polo shirt, and grey or black shirt/shorts/trousers. Both these schools the girls could wear a checked summer dress too.
And at secondary school we had to wear a black blazer, white shirt, grey and maroon striped tie, and black skirt/trousers. This strictly applied to both boys and girls.
You?

Many schools I went to when I lived in Alabama had uniforms, and the two private schools I went to in Georgia had them as well. Every time they were the same, dress pants or cargo pants with a polo-shirt that had the school logo. And all of the shirts were either white or navy blue (which I always mistook for black, even now I still have that problem).

I went to a couple Catholic schools & a school for dyslexia that had uniforms. They all had a white shirt with the school label on it & a collar. The dyslexic school didn't care what kind of pants or shorts I wore & the girls could wear wear whatever skirts or shorts or pants they wanted but the Catholic elementary school had to be khaki shorts or pants(I don't remember what kind of skirts the girls wore or if they were allowed to wear shorts or pants) & the Catholic high-school had to be khaki pants & the girls had to wear plaid skirts.

In primary school the base colours for the uniform were gold and maroon. Before that it was a white and maroon checkered tunic dress with a little neck tie on it. During winter it was a sleeveless maroon shift dress with a gold skivvy underneath. The boys wore grey "stubbies"/long pants and a grey button shirt.
After the school changed uniforms part way through my attendance it was a gold polo shirt with a maroon collar and maroon culottes. Options for warmth were a plain maroon sweater with the school logo embroidered in gold. Boys pretty much had the same polo shirt but with the grey shorts from the uniform prior. On sports day each week it was maroon netball skirts and a gold t-shirt. The boys had the same shirt for sports but with maroon football shorts.
Junior high school the uniform for the girls was a white polo with either a pleated or pencil skirt in bottle green (I think I was the only one who even wore a pleated one, cause they were uncool). Boys wore either a polo or button down shirt in pastel green with grey shorts or pants. During winter both genders were allowed to wear black long pants (which could have been anything from jeans, trackies, cargo pants etc). In winter both genders had either a bottle green sweater or a black windcheater.
Senior high school the uniform for the girls was the same white polo as above but this time with a mixed colour tartan skirt (can't remember if there was a pleated option). Boys had to switch to the white polo too with the same grey shorts as junior high. The same black bottoms were allowed for winter however the sweater colour changed to red. Football jerseys in patriotic school colours were available to order with a nickname on the back so a few seniors wore those.

In Canada public schools don't have uniforms, either. I know how it is. NT teenagers have to wear whatever nonsense the other kids are wearing at school, and face ridicule or even bullying if their their parents can't or won't get it for them, but if the school made them wear uniforms they'd cry out, "BUT WE'D ALL LOOK THE SAME!"
North American public schools are the worst, it embarrasses me to think how the education system in nearly every developed country except the US and Canada is superior, and you can walk into the school and not see smashed windows and graffiti.
My abiding memory of school uniforms was that they were horribly uncomfortable and set my sensory sensitivities off something chronic!
All three of the schools I went to had the traditional British style of uniform. White shirt (top button to always be done up!), school tie, trousers always black or grey (shorts in primary school!), grey V-neck jumper in the winter, formal shoes, and a blazer (usually black, but maroon in 6th form). The girl's uniforms were very similar except that skirts were usually compulsory (trousers had become acceptable by the time I was in upper school).
There were also very strict rules about hairstyles, no piercings and no make-up. This was all typical of state schooling in the UK in my day - they were always very eager to ape the traditions of the fee-paying schools (confusingly known as 'public schools' in the UK!).
When playing (enduring/suffering?!) sports, each child was assigned a "house" that they belonged to for the time they were in the school, each with its own specific colour of top that we had to wear. And, for the boys at least, we were not allowed to wear underwear beneath our baggy sports shorts!

At prep school we wore a grey suit, grey shirt, blue tie and a cap. From age 12 this changed to a dark blue suit with a white shirt, stiff collar, black tie (in memory of the death of Queen Victoria!) and a blue or grey waistcoat. In summer you could wear a blazer with the school crest and a straw boater, and those in the Lower and Upper Sixth could carry a furled umbrella at any time. They were reasonably relaxed about hair length (the fashion was quite long then), but the uniform was strictly enforced. The teaching staff wore academic gowns while teaching.
