I grew up in a highly (physically and emotionally) abusive household.

I was the youngest and the smallest child, but I had a very strong sense of justice that I always attempted to enforce (by downright calling out my abuser--and by protecting my mother and sister). As a result, I got the brunt of the abuse.

Not counting meltdowns, I do not cry very easily. I have only cried about five times in the past twelve years.

So if something makes me cry, and it's not a meltdown, either someone has died, or something is very, very wrong.

As someone who grew up with flan, I highly recommend. Although, from what I remember when I was younger, it used to tickle the roof of my mouth.

-I prefer reading paperbacks/hardbacks over electronic books. There is something awkward and impersonal about the latter.
