Favorite type of music

Hello WrongPlanet people. I like to think that music is a great escape from reality. What I would like to know is what your favorite type of music. If you care to go deeper into music with me, I would like to know which music you can't stand at all. As for me, I enjoy metal, old school country, old school rock, modern rock, and on the occasion, maybe some old school Dr. Dre. I cannot however, stand for what is being excused as hip hop, pop music, and old school pop.

Was big into synth and EBM when I was younger, transitioned into some flavour of metalhead and proceeded to become somehting I suspect to be too broad to really put a stamp on.

I have a sorta wide range of musical interests which was influenced by NOLA, David Bowie, Queen, Bob Dylan and The Beatles. The main music genres i can't get in to are country and gangster rap. I enjoy A Tribe Called Quest and hip hop groups like Doomtree and i like running to Eminem but i cannot stand gangster rap.

I like 70s, 80s, 90s, pop, country, comedy, soft rock, glam rock, classic rock, some alternative rock, punk, ska, emo, & some celtic.
I would say Pop & comedy are my favs. I don't like rap a whole lot, don't like black/death metal, blues, jazz.

I really like things that are Film Scores or Theme Scores or just have a kind of Cinematic quality. I also enjoy music like this with a Synth edge to it.

I like a wide variety of music, primarily metal. But I'm also into edm, oldschool/underground hip hop, ambient, the blues and jazz. I can not stand country or pop music, which in my opinion are both garbage.

My favourite type of music are German marches and The Kinks.

Classical music
1950s and 1960s music

To me this is heavy rich orchestral stuff. It's something I'll listen to that almost pulls the stress out of me while my eyes are closed.

metal, punk, some of whatever rock is, selective electronic, jazz, selective hip-hop, other oddities, some classical and non-western too...i find it hard to say what "type" of music i like since i don't really think about my preferences in terms of genre.

i recently made the mistake of telling a coworker i was into metal music.
i wasn't thinking about how vastly different metal can be. we have not found much overlap in taste haha. it's kind of awkward.

as for punk, live is always best. also when driving, as my car's CD player doesn't work but the cassette player does.

i'm a treble player but i really dig bass.

i think that should just about cover it

I really love Old country like the Carter Family and Hank Williams, Doo Wop, and Rockabilly.
