Did the weather at least hold off for them a little?

They had a marquee type thing set up and it was flapping so loudly in the wind it was difficult to hear anything.

I thought you were deaf? Do you use aids?

Hearing impaired.
Not quite the same as Deaf, more annoying if anything. :x
Have enough hearing to hear sound but not enough to distinguish meaning.
Wear aids in both ears.

^^I watched a fair number of Wolf's Rain episodes, but it just became too depressing, so I stopped. My favourite anime[s] are Digimon Adventure/Tri, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Frontier, Clannad, Air, Kanon, and Little Busters. Oh, and Chi's Sweet Home. Do you read any manga?

Yeah, I guess that was confusing, what I said.
I mean that the flapping was so loud, I couldn't distinguish the sound of the service, it just became more noise.
When I say I can't hear, I actually mean I can't understand what it is I'm hearing.
And I drive my partner crazy asking, "What was that noise?" because often I can hear noise but I can't tell what it is.
Does that make sense? :?

Ahh, yeah, can relate to that from the past! It is rather annoying especially when one can hear ones voice echoing in ones head when talking... Quit a weird sensation to explain as you may be able to relate to...

Wolf's Rain is so depressing. I finished the show in two days, and it took me a week to recover. I think you made a good call. Still, it was impactful so I list it as one of my favorites. Yay! Digimon! I watched it up until the beginning of the second series, where Kari and T.K. had grown into teens. I always thought Digimon was better than Pokemon. I have also seen Air! That was depressing, too, right?

I used to read a lot of manga as a kid and teen, and always preferred it over anime. But now that I'm older, I rarely read it anymore. My all time favorite manga, that I still dive into now and again is Clover by CLAMP. You?

^I watch Digimon in Japanese. But, then, I mostly prefer Japanese audio when it comes to anime and video games [there's only a couple games that I prefer the English].

Clannad is even worse--beyond depressing. But at least it has a happy ending.

I love Clamp manga! Tsubasa is my favourite, with RG Veda a close second. I have Clover, XXXholic, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gate 7, and Chobits.

Ah, I'm super excited about a game that's only coming out in English in March...but the Japanese version has been on Youtube ever since it was released there at the end of June...*sigh* Usually I'm good at being patient. Although, this particular game is in my top five favourite games list.

purity is highly overrated. this is coming from someone whose very name means purity and who lived it until her mid-twenties. life can be much more fulfilling and interesting when one is not concerned with being pure.

I don't really know what is meant by pure.
