no...those are contained to the north, im in the south (well, my town is kind of the unofficial "border" between southern california and the central cosst)


but that's not to say we don't get charred down here. last weekend i was driving to LA and the entire north side of the hill by the freeway looked burnt and dead.

years ago we had a lot of massive fires almost consecutively up on our hills. on one occasion i could see the flames from my house, and another time ashes were falling like snow, and that fire was somewhere around 65 miles away.

^^No kidding. That's one reason why I don't watch the news.

i'm more worried about earthquakes and drought.

We have ash falling like snow almost daily where I live, between June and December.
Ceiling cavities are full of the stuff and it slowly trickles down the walls; wet clothing can't be hung outside uncovered (most people have shade cloth covers on their outside lines); outdoor areas need to be de-ashed daily with a leaf blower.
Fun times.

I think something is going to happen. That guy that was knocked off the board has already said he was going to kill Mary. Tonight Mary told me he also threatened in the parking lot the other woman that actually got him removed from the board and she called the police. Now that guy is stalking Mary's husband when he comes home at night and the cops said nothing can be done until he does something. At the meeting he was going off on me and Mary and this guy in front of him said he was scaring other people at the meeting and they actually got up and left and Mary said that one woman who left actually got physically ill. I just have a weird feeling about all of this.

You should carry a little flash-drive-audio-recorder in your pocket (about $20) and record any encounters. If he does actually make a threat that would be enough for the police.

I'm worried, Mr. Darmok. I think if this plan of his to get me and Mary off the Board doesn't work, he might kill us all especially at the clubhouse - there is no way out of there. Mary's husband is going to start taking his gun down to the clubhouse meetings. I really don't think he can get 51 signatures for his plan to work. I still remember when I was going down to the clubhouse this last time, him and his wife were standing right at the door and staring right at me. It didn't occur to me at that time what we were going to be in for. He had threatened Mary's husband right after that and that's when the police were called. The police asked Mary if this guy has any mental problems because of the things he's doing. He even jumps out at Mary's husband from behind cars at night when he's coming home from work. I don't think he's going to let this go. He's going to make someone pay for what happened to him.
