Alarm clocks

But if alarm clocks didn't exist, how else would you know when to wake up when you feel the need to be up early?

I wouldn't, it's obligation, not that I want to be up early, I like to wake up when I naturally wake up.

"Helpful" music players. I gave up trying to manage my music years ago, and now, I can't even find a new MP3 player that can do "random" reliably.

I heard an NPR show about "randomness", and they reported about how a truly random selection of things will often LOOK non random. Like you get a sequence of songs that have some common thread that in fact were picked randomly. Apple or whomever would get customer complaints. So now they program MP3 players with "random" algorithms to avoid that that are actually NOT really random so that their out put always LOOKS random (more random that actual randomness).

So either A your using old programs that really ARE random but you're getting fooled into thinking that they are not random. Or B you're an uber geek who actually knows real randomness when you see it, but you're using the modern software that guards against the above problem by being purposely slightly nonrandom (in order to appear to be more random to the common consumer).

I think Anarcho Primitivism is a useless ideology. It's Anti-Technology and Anti-Civilization and wants us to go back to a hunter gatherer lifestyle. Technology and Civilization are things that really help us as Autistics.

I think modern rap music is pretty up there.
