I can't say that I follow any Motorsports, but I do like races. F1, MotoGP, rally races, bicycle alley cats, etc. The vehicles are amazing. I'm interested in seeing where they go with electric vehicles. I've always wanted to race, just never gotten started in any of it I guess. I have family involved in Motorsports.
I also have some pretty eclectic taste in music, and interest in music theory.

you've given me a great idea: electric ally cat racing! with real cats! ...wait... that's probably illegal. if you would, name some of your musical influences/insperations.

I used to think they were special places—those slot car places.

My parents wouldn’t buy me racing tracks or trains. I was autistic, and they thought I would destroy them.

I am not into watching racing but I do like to drive fast cars. I had a 1970 Hemi Cuda. I have been to the Indy 500 speedway a few times. If you ever get the chance, it is a good tour. They have many of the trophies on display along with many historical cars. You can walk across the brick finish line.

For me it is a little sedated. I would rather see them take I-465 that circles the city and block it off and let the racers go full bore around the city. Now that would be a race.

very nice. i had a '69 roadrunner with a 440 six-pack. got busted running 90% avgas. licence, insurance and registration revoked. i'm not much into oval track racing but it is the "brickyard". i'll get down there some day.

Oh yeah....the Road Runner. Plymouth.

What do you think of American Motors—the Gremlin, Pacer, etc?

I can't say I care for real F1 but I like some racing games. I played F1 and Super RC Pro-Am a lot on my Gameboy
in my youth.

I like your nickname senna! Nice!

For those here who don't know, Ayrton Senna was a Formula 1 driver in the late 80s and early 90s who became widely known as being the virtuoso of Formula One racing as he was an incredibly skilled driver especially during rainy weather where he drove twice as fast in the rain than the other drivers. He was incredible. There was a movie made about his life called "Senna" released in 2010. He was a very strong Christian man from Brazil and a very patriotic Brazilian to be sure. He dated Xuxa for a brief period as well. The rivalry between Senna and Alan Prost during those 10 years was unmatched in all of sports history. Those two were out to kill each other every time they got into the car.

He died during a Formula 1 race in the early 90s from a hard impact into the wall. Everyone should go see this movie as it's a great story about Senna's life.

He will go down in history as being Formula One's greatest driver ever.

How is Schumacher doing? He had a very serious crash about 5 years ago.

Excellent mini-bio of the "Rain King"

Some old timers (even older than me. yes they're still out there) would say Fangio was the greatest F1 one driver, but no one would dispute the fact that Senna had far more innate talent than any other driver in the history of motorsports. Brilliant! I watched all of those races; the ones televised, and Senna was on a completely different/higher level. I watched that race live (Imola 5/1/94) and it didn't look that bad. Not that much structural damage to the car, unlike the fatal crash of Ratzenberger the day before. Even Barrichellos' wreck in practice looked worse. Apparently a piece of the steering linkage went through Sennas' visor. His sister Viviane filed a lawsuit against Williams. Not sure what became of that. Clearly there was a mechanical issue: Brake failure, steering failure, throttle? He just went staight off the track at full speed. Horrorable weekend. FIA should have cancel the race after Ratzenbergers' death.

FYI: Viviane had a movie made called " A star named Ayrton Senna". Obviously similar to "Senna", but with more focus on his personal life. You should check it out. It's out of print and was only relesed on VHS but Amazon has some used copies.

Anyway, are you following this season?

I don't know how to reply to a specific post. The last one was for xatrix26. This one is for kraftiekortie:

Not much news on Schumachers' condition (skiing accedent). Family and friends aren't saying much. With that much money they can keep the media at bay. All I've been able to find is that he is at home undergoing physical therapy and that he is improving. No info on the extent of the brain injury or to what degree he is expected to recover.
