I was late for my appointment with my therapist today. Luckily, she is an understanding person.

I hate being late.

Here autistic people still end up in psychiatry wards :(

That's creepy indeed

I know of such sovereign nation with a history of many difficulties and so forth, but hopefully you'll manage to escape such fate in a sincere & honorable way of saying this.

^^ Ugh, you have my total sympathy.

And I'm about to give you some probably useless advice: can you stand ear plugs, is it safe for you to use them (i.e., if you do use them, will you be able to wake if a smoke alarm goes off? Or your own alarm clock? Not everyone can)? I lived for about 2 years in a place that was so noisy that I only managed to sleep if I ran a box fan in my room while wearing earplugs. The box fan took care of the bass, the earplugs managed the rest of the noise. If mechanical white noise doesn't bother you, this might help. For me, the foam type of plug was useless, but the silicone ones worked wonders.

<End useless advice>

Oh, not useless at all!
I use ear plugs sometimes, but couldn't find any that night. I listened white noise from my headphones and it helped a bit, still heard the noise faintly through.. I think I'd hear a smoke alarm through ear plugs. I must remember to buy those, can't stand not being able to sleep.

i've heard similar stories from another croatian. i've been to croatia and you guys don't seem culturally "backwards" at all at least to me, why would autism not be known there - compared to the rest of europe?

i hope that changes soon. attitudes to mental and developmental conditions usually do over time.

My brain has stopped communicating with my legs.
Unhappy is an understatement.

I went to RiteAid yesterday to get a loaf of bread & they only had a couple left that were dated the 4th. I'm not going to buy bread when it will expire before I can use less than a 5th of it. I had to eat the end pieces of the loaf I was eating & I'll have to find something else to eat tonight instead of a sandwich. I'll go back Monday & hope they have more by then. I did buy some things for my girlfriend while I was there.

The fact that I am spending my one day off at my father’s house.

And that he’s probably going to force me to volunteer all day during the week, even though I have school. :?
