In my country people like that are usually thought of as "rednecks" or "trailer trash" (very derogatory terms). A lot of them can be racist and homophobic and they live in dirty cramped trailers walking around their houses and yards barefoot. They always work blue collar jobs and they have bonefires in their yards where family and friends gather together to drink beer or eat food. They can actually be pretty nice and dependable people to their friends and neighbors they often look out for each other's children and if you ever need help with fixing something in your house you can ask one of them and they will gladly help you.

I was raised in that kind of culture but I think I turned our very differently. I don't wear trucker hats and camoflauge jackets and I HATE country music. I'm also not racist or prejudice at all.

But my family has grown up in trailer parks and driven trucks and we do bonefires and walk around barefoot.

I love walking around barefoot. But when it's cold I wear fuzzy socks.

I don't. I'm barefoot always unless I'm going out in public.

I get so cold easily, and I don't like snow, yet I love warm weather, so I often wonder how I ended up in Canada.

600 words to go.

It never snows where I live so I don't have to worry about that. If it did snow I probably would wear socks and shoes more often. :)

Glad they didn't get their hoses out

I'm not.

But I am glad you all enjoyed it.

Took me most of the day to peel myself away from the laptop - I watched all the others too.

Linus (or maybe Lucy) in the comics would always count up his school assignment and find it was 6 words short, and then write, "The very very very very end." :D

Aw, Tem, that absolutely made my day!

I am glad you found this to your taste.

Did you watch the others at all, with animals, and with dogs?

Fluffy was warmed to the cockles.

My job is done for today.

300 to go.

But I might have to add more because the word counter on the NaNo site is finicky. But I don't know how much more to add...

This is nail biting. If the book has half as much suspense, it's a winner.

Go kuraudo!

I had to switch the heating off. Kittens always have that effect on me.

Herman Melville has a famous 176-word sentence in Moby-Dick, so you could just have one of your characters quote that and then you'd be down to 124.
