I described in explicit detail to my Mum our apartment in Norfolk, VA and the little girl I played with and a rev up toy car, the kind with the plastic pull cord, just last week. We moved from there to South Weymouth, MA when I was one. My Mum is still dumbfounded.

I have some really really vague memories from around the age of two. One of the memories is of being carried on my fathers back on the Atlantic shore in Rhode Island. All I remember is going past some sort of pier or concrete embankment which the waves were crashing against. I remember screaming because the noise of the waves was awful to my ears.

I also have some vague memories of my Grandfather who passed away when I was three. I don't remember the funeral but my parents told me that I wanted to open the box (with my grandfather's ashes) at the burial. I don’t think I really understood that he was dead.

The first detailed memories I have are from my uncle's wedding. This was at the age of three. I kind of remember what the house looked like and I remember wanting to play the piano in the living room. I also remember walking in a field behind the house and finding a fire ant hill that was up to my waist (the house was in Georgia).

I remember when i was about 3 or so, there was an earthquake. I didn't feel it, but my dad urged me to get out of the house, so we went out to the street. The only thing that I noticed was the fact that the telephone wires were swaying.

I was 3 yrs old and my mom hired a professional photographer to come to the house to photograph me. I remember having a creepy feeling about him. I was told to go get a toy to have my picture taken with. I was very happy to go retreive my Kermit the Frog doll. Then I chose a book. Then the photographer gave me his smelly old yellow & brown stuffed dog to hold.

I also remember at 3 yrs. being in nursery school and wanting to play with this girl, Kelly. She was having fun on the indoor wooden slide. Even then I was trying to figure out how to start playing with someone. I remember being annoyed because suddenly it was snack time and I never got to play with Kelly.

Also a 3-4 yr. old memory: My dad was an alcoholic. I tried hiding his vodka because I could tell he was a different person when he drank the stuff. When he couldn't find it he started getting mad, so I admitted I hid it. I remember my mom telling me, "Just give it back to him". I did.

My earliest memory was when I was about two years old. I was walking on the carpet after having my toenails cut. I also remember my mom reading a book about a Siamese cat.

I remember being in my Mum & Dads bedroom very late at night; I don't know how old I was.

These are the things I remember of the scene:

Mum was in bed. It was a big double bed and there was a bedside lamp on which wasn't very bright so the room had a sort of amber glow.

I think my cot was in the room and I was being carried by Dad who was standing by it.

There was a really strong, peculiar atmosphere which I didn't understand and Mum & Dad were disussing something in hushed whispers because it was very late and quiet.

I remember the hushed pattern of their voices and the palpable atmosphere really strongly but I think I was too young to understand their speech.

This is the earliest I can remember but it is very vivid.

I am not particularly good in remembering things chronologically. I think my earliest is being colicky, though it's more of a sensation than a memory, of being held and soothely talked to by what I guess was my mother. About the age of 3, I have a clear memory of being shoved by a older neighbor kid down a hill and smacking my head on pavement and just screaming bloody murder. I often wonder if that could be the cause of some of my issues today.

I actually have one memory that goes back to being a baby (I have an awesome memory! Totally AS!) of being 4mo old and being blessed in church - my gpa was holding me and talking to my mother... Mom never told me about this, I just remember - my head was in the crook of his left arm and I was listening. I also remember mom washing my baby head under a sink faucet.

I have memory problems so I can't remember basically anything before I was 7. I have very little memories from 8-12, slightly more form 12-14, slightly more 14-16, gradually increasing to my current age 25. I guess I not really bothered about remembering my past. I just don't want to forget the last year and a half.

I can remember mum carrying me up to the corner of our block; the grass was yellow and dry and the sky very bright and yellowy looking. It had to have been before I was 20 months old as that was when my brother was born and I was suddenly "too big" to be carried.

It's more likely that it was somewhere between when I was 9 and 15 months. I can also vaguely remember being held by mum and surrounded by warmth and seeing light on the pink walls of the bedroom. She breastfed me until I was nearly a year old.

It must be in an apartment when I had a nightmare involving a campsite, and when I was in a forest with a boy around my age.
