Shopping for food (and general attitudes towards food) in Scandinavia is very depressing. Your post reminded me of this

Yeah, plus we now have to pay $20 just to get in. :(

I can honestly say parts of Georgia really aren't as bad as Alabama or Texas. Especially in North Georgia where Atlanta is. Georgia is indeed a right-wing state but the "southern hospitality" here is legit. People for the most part are friendly and have a sense of community. And I have come to hate Florida because it's a tourist state. Tourist traps are always full of rude jerks.

I love the beach, but hell I never even get to go to the beach anymore.

I love Texas's lack of an income tax. Yes, property taxes here are higher but I rent a modest apartment. Yes, the rent probably includes the property tax, and the landlord can deduct the property tax as a business expense which can be passed down in terms of competitive rents (while Trump disallowed deducting property taxes after a certain cutoff like $12,000.)

Honestly, after living in California (which has great natural scenery but is absurdly expensive), I don't think I can ever live in another state that has either Sales or Income taxes besides California. I don't mind staying in Texas but I'd love to relocate to Florida, Oregon, or Washington for a change. I also hate places that get a ton of snow so Wyoming, Vermont, Montana, Alaska, etc are also out.

Ya, and my parents live there but right on the border with Oregon so they also don't have to pay sales taxes if they shop across the border.

And the terrorism, at least the perceived danger of them (your chances of dying in a terrorist attack is much much less than, say, being hit by a car.)

Also the Yellow Vest protests. Plus anti-semitism if you happen to be Jewish.

I think the muslim countries are actually the worst places and I think this includes Israel and Turkey.

There is a lot of political repression in Israel too this is why I am considering leaving Israel.

The United States has a lot of violence, mass incarceration and police cruelty too. So I will definitely not choose the US as one of the best places (or most peaceful place) to live in.

I think some of the European countries like Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Finland could be the best countries to live in but even those countries have their own set of social problems. I didn't mention Sweden because I think many Swedes exhibit anti-Semitic attitudes. I also didn't mention Russia because Russia is an extremely corrupt country.

Canada is not in Europe - otherwise, your list is a good one.
