I've never traveled on an Amtrak train, so no, but light rail is great.

Same question.

mixed blessing, trains. they are a lot less of a hassle to get onto, but they are slower even than bus traffic [amuuurica, no high speed trains to speak of], more expensive than an airline ticket, no bathing facilities unless one spends 4 figures or more for a private berth, the lousy quality/maintenance of most railroad tracks makes for a nauseating back-and-forth rocking.

same q.

Ooh. Though it depends, I usually prefer quiet so I can focus better.

I forgot to post a question.

Do you get shutdowns?

Now and again, but I minimize it through trying to keep a fairly basic environment around me.

Same question.

Hmm...the closest I'm thinking of are times where I'm asked a question, and the only response I have is invalid for whatever reason, so I'm stuck formulating an answer or an action and getting nothing. Then it just becomes a long pause I can't seem to break out of. Division By Zero moment.

Would you give up one ability that everyone has in exchange for one that a more narrow group of people has?

Can you phrase that as a question so I can join in the fun?

Oh, I need to ask a question, just in case someone wants to join in the fun.

Hmmmmmmm

My favourite desert was the Sahara. My favourite dessert (not sure which one you meant) was cheesecake...which I no longer like. :,^)

What's the longest you've ever gone without sleep?

Around 48 hours. I started to hallucinate, and hear voices in my head like listening to a radio. I forced myself to sleep, I was rather distressed at the time which added to it.

What's your plans for tomorrow?

Read my book which I've not touched in a couple weeks.

Look for a new baby blanket pattern, so I can knit for a friend's upcoming grandchild. 8)

Finish the typescript of my upcoming novel, then start transferring it to my MacBook without wasting all day reading Wrong Planet.

Yes I do.

If you have managed to lose weight, how much weight did you lose and how long did it take for you to do so?
