are there any powerful people not purely motivated by self-interest and malice aforethought? are there any such folk who see such "iron rule" evil as anything other than mere "common sense"?

Power doesnt corrupt people, people corrupt power.

people wouldn't corrupt power unless they were corrupted in the first place.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely - John Dalberg-Acton

Acton seemed to think that human nature made it impossible for even the noblest of men to avoid temptation when placed in a position of power. Par for the course.

Can't say if he was right or wrong. Can't say if I'd be corrupted or not in such a situation, as I've never actually been in a position of power.

Does anyone know why The sound of “fart” cant go through landline phone but able to go through mobile phone ?

I found out this when I am a kid, and I am very sure fart noise can’t go through landline because I did many experimentssss. :D

most telephone systems sharply filter below about 300 cycles per second, and since much flatulence noise energy is below that frequency, the bulk of the fart noise will also be filtered out, hence the relative difficulty in conveying crepitation over the phone.

Kinda reminds me of how my car's headlights look like they're flickering when captured in video when they're actually not flickering at all (can't remember if they're HID's or LED's)

Was about that guy who wanted to start a business selling glass coffins. He did not know if it would be a success. Remains to be seen.

If I induce anger like an Afghan wrangler, would that mean I've gotten your goat? :nerdy:
