Anyone who has a special interest in animals? Reptiles?
Particularly reptiles, bugs, or ocean creatures? I’m really interested in lizards at the moment. I have a crested gecko, a bearded dragon, and (I know this isn’t a lizard but it’s a reptile) a ball python. I’m also really into bugs, and fungi. Sometimes I look at an ant and I think “what if i was that ant”
A really cool thing i’ve been looking at recently for ocean creatures is Nautilus Live on youtube. I also like LizardGuru, Sostic, and other you tubers similar.
Anyway, anyone else have a special interest about similar things?

I have an iguana and ball python.
I used to have more but old age caught up to them.I had a Cuban Knight Anole,Leopard Gecko, Tokay Gecko and a house gecko.
The iguana is spoiled rotten and last year crawled in a drawer and left a pile of eggs. The ball python is a rescue that someone didn’t want to care for.
I also enjoy the wild reptiles in the garden.
The summer before last I put a red eared slider turtle in the garden pool and it loves it.There are two giant bull frogs that keep it company.

That’s really cool. I sorta wish I had a pet frog or something. Frogs are really cool. I used to know a lot about them but I sorta forgot most of it, because it was from when I was like 9 or ten. I had more bearded dragons when I was that age too. My friend used to have a leopard gecko but he couldn’t care for it so he gave it away. What did you feed your leopard gecko? I heard you can feed them pinky mice which is cool.

Snakes, specifically rear fanged variety. I have a sinaloan milksnake and had a ball python and Californian kingsnake prior psychosis. Been wanting something like a malaysian mangrove snake, false water cobra or an arabian cat snake. I have experience handling wild rattlesnakes with snake hooks and tongs and have caught coral snakes with my hands before. I'd never have something "hot" due to safety of my family or my cats lol

You can feed pinkies but it makes their poop smell strong.I fed crickets that I raised and super worms. In the warm months I would catch insects from the garden or leave the porch light on to collect bugs to feed them.
Frogs and other amphibians can be easy to keep pets, some require no special lighting or heating.Water cleanliness is a must and some can’t tolerate extreme heat.I used to have some fire belly toads that would hand feed.
You need a very secure lid, they can be escape artists.

I wouldn’t call it a special interest specifically, but I like to see all kinds of wildlife on my property and in my garden. We see Black Racers and rat snakes pretty frequently. The occasional coral snake.
We have house geckos and Cuban anoles and green anoles. Skinks.
Box turtles, sliders, soft shell turtles, snappers. Green tree frogs, tree frogs, cricket frogs, leopard frogs, narrow mouthed toads, oak toads, bull frogs and others.
We have Cuban tree frogs which are big, poisonous and eat all the native frogs. I kill them when I can.

I'm writing up a sheet of many gecko species, with information on all of them, such as habitat, food, lifespan, and reproduction. So far I've done Common House Geckos, Crested Geckos, and Leopard Geckos. It's really fun. I can share it with somebody if they want.
