Today's Google doodle is nice. That's all I really have to say about the new year. Today's also the birthday of Pete Quaife of The Kinks. That makes it a bit more bearable. Perhaps I could listen to British 60s Radio to see if they'll be playing a whole bunch of Kinks songs.

No matter where you are, it isn't officially the New Year until big ball in Times Square drops.

Looking at Times Square live stream right now. Except for some cops on horses, it looks totally deserted.
