Charles just couldn't wait. He looks the way that Sgt. Schultz would look if he was British.

Not a Royalist. Privilege by birthright is just wrong.

At least he cares about the environment.

It's going to be hard calling him King Charles the III.

This is what I like about him. He is a passionate environmentalist, he's been like that for decades. He's been mocked for it, but he was right all along.

If he has any sense, he will play strongly on this interest and become popular for championing the environment and fighting climate change.

^ Charles himself has said as much and given what's known about the Queen's involvement and working with the mechanics of state, almost to the day she died, he's going to be pretty busy.

Yes. Having the Prince of Wales listed on charity/organisation letterhead as a patron certainly carried some weight - but having King Charles III listed instead would carry even more.

Yes, I can't see that he would totally give up on the cause that's closest to his heart, he is an environmentalist through and through. He's been that way since he was young, for many decades. Even though the media mocked and made fun of him as a 'tree hugger' etc. he stuck with it. So he won't give it up easily.

I really don't know or give a rat's tail about much of anything about King Charles. All I really know is that he's "that guy with the ears" who had a fairy tale-esque wedding to Princess Diana when I was a little kid and then they got divorced when I was a teenager which just proves fairy tales are real. But I don't think he really killed anyone. 8O

At least his mother showed him the ropes of the family business.

He was on the news being crowned just now and I couldn't be bothered to watch. I think that Canada as a nation should now drop the crown and we should strengthen our Nato ties with Germany in case a war breaks out.

Charles had nothing to gain from Diana's death. And the idea that he would wait 70 years to kill his mother for the crown is preposterous. Considering most women don't make it past 85, his role as king was long overdue. I was beginning to wonder if Elizabeth was going to outlive him (joke). Anyways I think he'll make a dandy king. I'll miss the queens every shade technicolor outfits. Maybe Charles will consult Elton John's tailor and wear a different brightly colored suit each day to fill the void.

That was just his annunciation. He won't get crowned until sometime next year.

As they phase out the queen's face from banknotes, coins and government buildings, what image they will use of Charles to replace the Queen with?
Young Charles?
Middle aged Charles?
Old man Charles?
