m?

The only celebrities I remember seeing is someone from this radio show who was at the Girls for the Cure walk in grade 7, and Dr. Frombonne, of course, the clown who diagnosed me with AS when I was 14... he was in paapers, he was famous, he was a well-known autism expert, and I think I was stuck with him, the head honcho, cuz all the appointments with the other doctors were booked!

I have met Clayton Moore (Lone Ranger), Don Knotts, Larry Hagman, and I could see Alex Trebek at a parade.

Also, I met 2008 presidential candidate Ron Paul.

I met and spoke with Joan Baez, Liv Tyler, Mia Farrow. They were all very down to earth.

Weird Al and me after a concert in Minneapolis. I've met Al on several occasions. He's very good about having meet and greets with fans after his shows.

I've met all of Bowling for Soup (if anybody knows who they are - punk rock band from Texas) numerous times. They're all really nice, very genuine blokes, and they all do lovely cuddles...!

At various conventions, I have met Chris Claremont & Andy Diggle (comic-book writers), Charlie Adlard, Ian Churchill, Jock & Pia Guerra (comic-book artists), and Michael Madsen (you know, Mr Blonde from Reservoir Dogs).

And I'm telling you now, Michael Madsen might be a very nice chap, but he could definitely flip out and totally kill you at any moment...

I met Amanda Bynes a few weeks ago. We had a short conversation (there was a lot of other people meeting her as well) and I got an autograph and a handshake!

I met Sir Alec Guinness.

I was on vacation in London and I stopped to talk to the police officer outside the gates to Downing Street. During the conversation he wished an old gentleman goodnight as he passed through the gates then as he walked away he told me that it was Sir Alec. I didn't want to miss an opportunity like that so I caught up to him and told him how I was a fan of his movies. His reply was "we can talk about my work providing you don't mention Star Wars". :D

We walked from Downing Street to the tube station at Trafalgar Square talking about all his old movies including my favorite 'Tunes of Glory' which also stars Sir John Mills. At Trafalgar Square I shook his hand and he wished me a safe journey back to the USA. He was a nice man.

Sometime in the 1985-1989 range, I once saw Ned Beatty crossing a downtown street while talking with someone. He was in town for the Foster Brooks Pro-Celebrity golf tournament. I was too far away to say anything.

I was at the University of Texas with Ricky Wiliams. I didn't have any classes with him, but I saw him all the time. He was always so cool with everyone; he would always smile and flash the peace sign. Everyone knew who he was. Fame never got to his head. Gee, I wonder why he was so laid back?

Again, at the U of Texas, I met Quentin Tarantino. He was blocking the entrance to the Union Theatre because of all the sycophants around him, plus he had two tall supermodel blondes with him. My friend finally told him to move it and he spluttered "Oh oh yeah yeah sorry sorry," then a few minutes later he and the blondes sat right in front of us. The movie was Fassbinder's "In a Year of Thirteen Moons." Motormouth never shut up during the entire movie!

When I was a little kid, maybe 4 or 5 years old, I got to meet Stevie Ray Vaughan... but I was too young to know I was in the presence of a Blues legend.

I saw Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at the Phoenix airport once. I also saw the broadcast journalist Keith Morrison there...he's Matthew Perry's (from Friends) step-father.

I met and got autographs from all of the members of the Gin Blossoms after one of their concerts back when I was in high school.
