I wouldn't.
But if I Had to choose a US state, maybe California since it's pretty similar to here in terms of climate & culture. Otherwise maybe Hawaii even though I've never been there - not sure, though.. might be too humid for comfort I dunno. Otherwise maybe one of the few places in the USA that have famous kiteboarding beaches.. Oregon, somewhere in the Carolinas, or Texas. (LOL not Texas.)
But the only reason I can think of for a Canadian to move to the USA is for $$$$$ they wouldn't get paid here. Otherwise pretty much everything is better here. Political stability, people, culture, healthcare, crime rate, nature, food supply, water, price of medicine etc etc. Only makes sense to join the brain drain moving South if you're offered the big bucks and that's a higher priority for you than being home surrounded by friends/family and the Canadian ways of life.
From what I understand Vancouver is not too terribly cold, relatively speaking, but most of Canada is just SO COLD! For that reason alone I would not consider living there. But I can think of a reason why a Canadian might move to the US: warmer weather!
(Depending on where in the US, of course.)
