I love Sunday's me

Today is a gathering for my dad's birthday. My oldest daughter is driving up for the occasion, but she was having a helluva time getting her car started this morning and ended up needing a jump. I'm concerned she'll stop along the way and her car won't start up again. Hopefully she makes it here without incident and it was simply the cold this morning giving her car trouble. She does have her portable charger ready to go should she have to jump herself, so that makes it all less concerning.

I'm also thinking about the party thing itself. Lately my mom has been tearing into my middle daughter a lot...nit picking the hell out of her and being super critical and such. It makes my daughter nuts but she won't let my mom have it because then she makes my dad's life miserable for months and the only way to make her stop is for my daughter to apologize for defending herself. I'm trying to figure what to do should my mom start acting up today. Talking to her is out of the question because she's unreasonable and well, crazy. I think I might just do something like loudly burst into song if she starts her crap. I'll be rude as hell, carry on obnoxiously and drown her out. She'll get fussy with me, but that will draw attention away from my daughter and then she can make her escape and go do something else. Yeah. I think sounds like a plan. Maybe I'll try to convince her to sing with me because it's fun and festive and it is a party after all. Hm. Could be interesting.

I messed up today. I broke something that belonged to someone and I didn't say anything. I was deeply uncomfortable in a social situation and I didn't have the words to simply fess up like an adult. I froze upI didn't say anything. And it's really obviously broken and probably really obvious that it was me that broke it and obvious that I would have known that I'd broken it. And now these people are going to be thinking what an as*hole to break that and not just say "Sorry I broke your thing." And they're right. I remember doing something similar when I was about 7. Depressing to think I still can't behave normally.

How I'm a 32 year old man who fell from grace from doing really well to well...... A man who has become so dependent on others emotionally and financially in some cases.

Nowadays, picking myself up, don't know how but I will. Therapy is slowly working but not how I'd envisioned it to go. But hey, each to their own.
