Is it just me, or does this look like a good way to get your identity stolen from some ID theif?

I would rather NOT share my ID online, thank you very much.

Only if specific details such as social security, credit/debit card numbers or other account info is published openly
on the forums.

Oh... I was going to copy Richard's face from his ID, put it on my driver's license and pretend to be him! :P

Hey, I'm just joking... really...

I was curious at first what happened to the Grand Canyon on his card.
When did the canyon get that big white spot on it?

I agree, that as long as certain information is blanked out, or covered up like Richard has done, then nothing important can be stolen.

I think it was good of RadiantAspie to ask though. I have seen folks put too much info on the internet for my comfort before.

btw...
I have my little green plastic card from the INS that says I am an American! (born in England, naturalized when I was 10), birth cert., various job I.D.'s, driver's license, British and American passports.

I posted because I find it an interesting topic.

We live in societies where we are becoming more I.D. dependent.
I am old enough to remember when you needed VERY little in the way of I.D. to go about your daily life.
Now, I.D. is requested several times a week when I make transactions, I have to wear an I.D. card at work, I need my student I.D. when I visit the library or computer lab, on-and-on.

So, I am actually intrigued by all the sorts of I.D. other people might carry and have to use in their lives.

Hope that answered your question... :D

That's fine and well, but you have to take it in the context of the originator's other thread postings. I don't see the need for this, that's all.

Actually the way I deal with all this online stuff is that I only have to consider this posting on it's own.
I won't get into the discussion going on elsewhere about this.

I like this topic, I felt I had something to respond with that was appropriate to the topic, and I posted.

You seem to have seen the topic, voluntarily opened it, read it and felt like not participating in the topic but to rail against it instead.

Perhaps you should move on to something else? :D

I hate to say this, but you're probably right. A little faux pas every now and again never hurt anyone.

I need to keep this line for those times I need to use it! :D

btw, I wanted to add that my I.D. at work has one of those RFID chips in it.
We have panels situated around the workplace where we can hold up our I.D.'s within maybe 12 inches and get 'read' by the panel.
It pisses me off sometimes because it is basically clocking me in and out when that happens.
Then I have to fill out a form to have the times revised.

I miss the old honor system and having to write in my hours on the time card :(
