Why do I perpetually oscillate between being the smartest and the dumbest person I know?

More to the point... Where the hell is the duty cycle control?

It's good to have dreams and aspirations, so we can look back on them years later and laugh at how naive we were.

After 30 years of rapid economic growth, the first instance of deflation occurred with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Confidence among professionals in various industries declined, leading to a push for lower prices.

suggestion: lets make a fun little rhyme battle out of this boring place that has no proper "beef"...there'll be a "call out" thread...where a member challenges another member to a text battle...if the member excepts, one of them will make a "member A vs member B" in a "battle thread"...there wont be any votes to decide who won the battle... good idea?...id do the whole thing myself but im afraid no one will participate

i saw the fan fiction thread and wrote this quickly...its based on Iain M Banks Culture novels...im not a good writer and i dont think id practice more...but we'll see

she walked across the blue sand wearing a type 3 battle suit...as thin as a sheet of paper and consisting of a nano neon green and blue body gel armor... projectile weapons, grandes and even large missiles would not even cause its surface to vibrate...she wouldnt even feel the enemy's heavy duty tanks roll right over her...the suit had two knife missiles on its left shoulder...the other shoulder was equipped with a force field generator with a radius of 2 kilometers...it could slice molecules in less than a millisecond...the suit was connected to her neutral lace so she could dissecting anything solid just by thinking...both knife missiles were of the newest generation...they were two yellow spheres roughly the size of a human eyeball...they each could produce an electrical beam which carried 25 times the volt of lightning...they also had several centimeter long blades which could reduce a ton of granite to powder within seconds...and were both connected to her mind...she allowed the souls of the suit's feet to let her feel the pebbles she was walking on across a path through a forest which led to a Rapid Offensive Unit...one of the Culture's war ships...it was a "militant" class Rapid Offensive Unit called "Slightly Divine Mostly Indecisive"
"how did it go?"
...it asked her through the suit's speaker
she sighed..."why the hell do you always ask such dumb questions?"
"i dont know the ship replied, i think its funny"
the ship replied
"stop trying that...you're aware of everything thats going on even beyond this solar system"...she frowned
"yes, but this was your first actual real life combat mission"
it said with a tone which made her feel proud
"so, how did it go?
"the base is destroyed and every enemy is dead"
"good...you've enjoyed your little stroll so please just use the suit's anti-gravity module and come onboard at once...our next mission might actually be a somewhat of a challenge...

Deansgate train station smells like burnt toast

I thought I was having a stroke on my way through but I could smell it on my way back through as well so I guessed I was ok

I'm at campus right now and class starts at 2 PM.

Everybody will be getting their results of their first paper today.
