I can't be the only person dreading the new year. Especially when the orange man becomes US president this January.

Discord autism servers are subpar to WP, they're shallow fast paced piles of messages, like no one take their time to say something thoughtful and meaningful. WP is more mature.

^Yeah, that's what I like about WP. Places like discord are good for some things, but not this.

It's not helpful to be polite in every debate or discussion. Arguing politely about stupid ideas or beliefs only gives them legitimacy. Saying, "If you believe X, then you are an idiot," can be quite effective often. We have evolved to naturally interpret such signals as triggers for deep reflection about things we are blindly confident about. In short, some folks need the slap of blunt truth.
