I have flat feet and have to wear really uncomfortable inserts all the time.

Anyone have a preference on their shoes? (brand, comfort, look, style, etc.)

prefer not to wear shoes at all when can get away with it,hate the feeling from them.

preference is for wide fitting flat trainers [have flat feet as well] with velcro straps [can't tie shoelaces].
problem with velcro ones is they don't last as long due to the velcro going bad or straps breaking though, current ones are these:

sisters' boyfriend originally recommended the adidas/stan smith ones and they are great but wish could get a pair that would last longer.
these ones are falling apart.
have ever tried the stan smith ones? might be worth a try as these were the first pair of footwear ever to not give am blisters in the flat area.

are the insoles ones bought from a shop or are they from doctor or hospital?
am got some from hospital some years ago,to try and raise the middle of the foot and they were torture, couldn't tolerate them,
there should be shoes and trainers designed for people with flat feet as well as there are for people with big feet and wider feet and thinner feet.

I bought them from the local running / track store and took them to my podiatrist who altered them specifically for my feet.

Also I like to stay towards Skechers or Adidas brand.

I hate shoes. They are the one thing I really loathe having to look for as for one, I have to avoid any heel as I am already tall, and for two, I find so many too narrow or too hard or too cutting.

I wear sandals at the moment as they are so comfy and some black boots I have.

There are only three types of shoes that I wear. Sneakers, sneakers and sneakers.

I am also flat footed and I also have to wear uncomfortable inserts, and I also have like 2 other problems with my feet. I've gotten used to them, but they still feel weird sometimes. However, I can't stand or walk very much without my shoes on, the pain is just unbearable.
The only shoes I will wear are New Balance running shoes, I get one pair of shoes a year and those are always it.

Sport sandals.

I prefer sandals that are conducive to running. They must meet the following criteria:
• Have an adjustable heel strap.
• Have a buckle fastener for the instep strap.
• Have velcro on each strap for customising the fit.
• Don't get thin under the toe. I want my toe to press the sole against the ground even when I'm standing still, in an upright posture.
• Have plenty of arch support.

It's hard enough to find sandals that meet that criteria, so I'm not going to be picky about their 'style' or 'look'.

I don't have any special preferences, for me all kinds of footwear look the same. At home I don't like wearing any shoes.

I've always loved converse all stars. In the winter they make my toes cold (even in socal) so I wear Dr Martins or my paddock boots.

I like comfy shoes, but I love boots! I collect them, and I'm proud of my boots. Even with them I value comfort--- I want to look taller, but high heels are painful. So I like the platform boot style best since my feet stay in a flatter, more level stance and they're easy to walk in. I can even dance and run in my platform boots. I do have a pair of heeled boots, but I only wear them once in a while. Level shoes and boots make my feet happy.
