Yes, I love cats, as well. I've been obsessed with them since as long as I can remember.
We had a cat when I was little, named Snowflake, and she had one gold eye and one blue. She was a wonderfully tolerant cat, since I was at that age where you just grab things if they appeal to you.
Snowflake passed away when I was in elementary school (2nd or 3rd grade, I believe). I got Socks at the end of elementary school, he was a fat, grumpy, amusing cat. I absolutely loved him, and he was my best friend. Sadly, he passed away just a little over a year ago, he had a sudden heart attack. He was only 9 years old .
I also love to draw and write about cats, when I was younger, and now. I'm currently working on a children's book about a lynx for one of my classes. I also wear a winter hat with cat ears attached >^..^<

We were talking about this on another message some time back - it seems that a lot of people who have AS tend to like cats . . .
Yes, I recall the conversation. Unfortunately, I can't remember which thread it was.
I think, atleast for me, the reason I like cats so much is because I can connect to them. I am very catlike. My friends all call me a cat, and tell me I'm "like a cat." Cats are quiet, antisocial, pensive, skittish animals, all of which is just like me.
I, too, thought I was part cat. Now, I think it's more in the spiritual sense (perhaps a past life).
