The track above is nice. I like it.

The Machinarium soundtrack often makes me feel better:

Most of Ravi Shankar's music relaxes me. I love the sounds of the sitar and ever slow and fast melodious flows of his music.

Thanks, here is another one by the same group. Depending on who you are you may find it less calming or more.

Crockett's Theme by Jan Hammer is incredibly relaxing (synth music, no lyrics).

Pachelbel's Canon is great, too.

I find the song, Ode To Joy, by Beethoven to be very calming.

Enya, Enigma, some Tangerine Dream (mostly the stuff before 1990). I was taught some meditation techniques and the music combined with these can lower my heart rate way WAY down.

...That's the calming stuff. I'm weird like that I suppose. xP ... Then again, probably not. The stuff that isn't calming is much louder and crazier. ^^;

Gregorian chant or that "New Age" music that has sounds of forests or birds or waves breaking on the shore.

If you seriously want to relax then play New Age music and light some candles and have an oil burner with some relaxing scent.

Also a wind chime outside your window.

theatrical pipe organ music. new age music. the pure sounds of nature with NO music mixed-in with it. ocean waves crashing upon the shore. the winds blowing through the trees. the rain falling. the soft fluffy sounds of snow falling upon snow.

Always does it for me. Any slow harp, piano, or flute music is great.

Most people have heard this song. Although few know from where.
