I'm from Europe too.

The poll leaning so heavily towards Europe at the moment is largely due to "our" timezones being in the right range to provide us with free time to spend on WP. It's a little after the main evening news were I live; the perfect time to check up on WP.

I wouldn't want to read anything into the results before the poll has been online for a full 24 hours.

Good insight :)

Have you heard of the city of Cologne? It's situated in the Rhine Valley in western Germany, about halfway along the North-South-axis of Germany as a whole. On both sides of the Rhine Valley, that is both East and West of Cologne, the country turns hilly and the clouds have to leak some rain (or snow) to rise a bit and make it over the hills. The Rhine Valley is relatively dry, but the hills around it have lots of forest with swampy patches in them, rivers and lakes.

At the moment, there is heavy winter rains around here plus the snow has melted at last, so many rivers are filled to the brim and all that water is threatening to flood Cologne and other cities situated on the Rhine (it's a large river flowing into the North Sea). It's nowhere as bad as Queensland and the people in Cologne are used to dealing with the river flooding the city center almost every year, but when I was in Cologne today I was still astonished to see how much water there was in the Rhine.

North America. Someday I might take a trip to Europe and the Middle East.

Ooh, you live near the Rhine? I'd really like to go there. I've heard that it has a fairy tale-like atmosphere.

Its interesting because lots of people who live in North America, when they say that they are "traveling the world" they mention Europe and maybe some places in East Asia. They think that Europe is apparently "exotic enough" with a different "culture".

Funny how no one mentions the Middle East. Now, I'm not sure if its because they are afraid that war may break out immediately or something, but other than that it should be fine as long as you don't insult Islam or the prophet Mohammed. If you do, there's no telling if you'll come back alive 8O .

Do you know of St. Albert? I had a dream about him the other day and then looked him up. Isn't he from Cologne? I had never heard of him before. In the dream I had a rosary with this picture on it.

I may be just interrupting, but I know of him and he is buried in Cologne.

How did you have a dream about something you had never heard of, seen, or experienced?
You would have had to at some point.

It's ok - no, I'd never heard of him and wasn't raised Catholic or anything like that. I've had lots of dreams about things or situations I didn't know existed and then it turns out it's real. It just happens. It's kind of cool that I had this dream two nights ago and now someone here is talking about Cologne. I dreamt it, looked him up and now this. Cool. :)
