Answers to "Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend?

Didn't know whether to put this in romance or members, here will do.

I used to HATE being asked whether I had a girlfriend (because I never did). Anyone else?

The best reply ever I heard once (but only after I had a girldfriend, so I never actually used it) was:

"I had one once, but I lost her in a poker game".

Heard any other good replies?

I used to get annoyed when people kept asking.

I'm annoyed that people stop asking. Like of course you don't have a boyfriend, why bother to ask.

Some of my favorite responses:

"No. You?"
"No. Would you like to be?"
"No. Do you have somebody in mind?"

I've been known on occasion to ask in a flirtatious manner if she has a husband or boyfriend in order to express interest.

I just usually respond with

"I don't date"

or

"I don't get along with males".

Depends on who asks, and where it seems like they're going with it. If they're planning on being vicious, I'd probably go with, "Look, I know you can't control yourself around me and you probably want to bear my children, but you're really not my type. I'm only interested in people that aren't morons."

For the most part I'd probably answer honestly, though I should come up with something evasive that doesn't seem evasive

If I answer correctly does that mean we'll have 5EX now or later?

I was asked that question repeatedly, by a girl that I used to work with. I didn't hang out with her, after she asked me for the tenth time. That fool quit working at the Factory and I've quit, two years after her, so all that is now water under the Bridge.

My answer is:

Are you sane?

"I got a gun for my wife/girlfriend, best trade I ever made!!"

In Florida, there's a two week waiting period before you can get a divorce, but only a 3-day waiting period before you can buy a gun.

The implication being that if both parties agree to fight to the death they won't need a divorce or any of the associated legal system baggage, such as lawyers, judges, depositions, rulings, community property, precedents, courtrooms, delays, custody battles .......

Personally I tell the truth, and say no. I've never had a girlfriend, then the person who asks is sympathetic and usually says "awww". I don't really care to this response, because everyone who asks always says that. Personally if I got a girlfriend, life would be more confusing and harder as I'm coping with my depression as it is.
