How do you eat your pizza (and do you eat the crust)?

I always eat the crust on my pizza, but it comes last.

I always start at the bottom of the pizza slice and work my way upward.

I had pizza tonight.

I ate three bites...then forgot I was eating.

That's how I eat pizza.

I should go put it away...

I eat pizza (including the crust) with a knife and fork.

I eat pizza with my hands. Usually I start at the tip and eat my way to the crust. I don't like the crust, so if it's too hard, I'll just gnaw until I get to the (IMO) inedible crust. If the crust is edible, it's still my least favorite part, so I'll start with that before I enjoy my pizza, starting from the tip and eating my way up.

If it's not too big and floppy, I hold it with both hands and eat it from the tip to the crust. I don't usually eat the crust unless there is a side of sauce for me to dip it in. If the slice is big and floppy, they cut it into 2 or 3 thinner slices for me. Pizza is like my favorite food.

Fingers. Eat everything but the crust. When I get hungry again, I heat the crust up and eat that.

I use my hands & pick it up the the crust in my right hand which is easier to grab there & I hold it underneath with my left. I start eating at the bottom. & eat the crust last.

.. I only eat crusts.


I don't know why, but the flavor of bread being together with cheese or butter or anything similar isn't for me...

Before eating, I order them from least to most topping (have to save the best till last!), then eat them literally coated in mayonnaise, and leave the crust .

Fold it in half first! Anyone else here grow up in New York?
I do eat the crust, but it comes last and gets dipped in the oil that drips off.

If I can, I fold the slice in half lengthwise and eat it like a taco, pointy end first up to the crust. Of course, the fold creates a nice little trough for the grease to pool into so it can run out onto your hands, but it's better than trying to eat pizza without touching the greasy mass of cheese and toppings. If I can fold it, I can hold it without greasing up my fingers, which is an ick sensation for me. Getting greasy lips is bad enough; I use a butt-ton of napkins.

The crust must always be eaten. Skipping crusts is breaking the rules.

Knife and fork. I don't touch food.

I too have issues with getting my fingers greasy, so I eat pizza with a knife and fork if I can.

The odd thing is, I never used to. I think my grease phobia is getting more rigid as I get older. I used to just eat it with bare hands but still only if I had napkins and soap and water handy.

Pizza is too high in sodium and fats for my health (father died at age 48 of heart attack), so I do not eat it, period.
However, there IS a pizza restaurant in Sacramento called Zelda's which sells "Chicago style" pizza that was
darn right delicious, a crust like a pie dough. Pizza is also too spicy for my taste.
