I'm so glad I don't drive a car, because I know I will have severe road rage and probably cause an accident by getting too impatient. I've already shown frustration as a pedestrian by displaying annoyed body language.

It's just that there is so many cars everywhere, there's always queues, and one little accident on a fast road causes about 5 miles of queues and delaying buses by 2 hours...just where do all these thousands of cars come from?

And it's annoying when traffic jams are caused by everyone having the same idea, and everyone avoiding the crowds and traffic but everyone getting caught up in it at the same time.
And when I'm walking to work there are always cars pulling out of a side road in perfect timing as I'm coming along. And as soon as I go to cross the road, every car in the county comes along, and nobody stops to let me cross.

Buses are ok. Even when I'm in a hurry, buses never annoy me. I wish more people would use public transport. Well, trains annoy me though, when you have to stop and wait for about half a dozen trains to cross the intersection. But that's not so bad when there aren't a lot of cars about. It's just too many cars everywhere that gives me that overstimulating feeling.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Yes. Traffic has to be at the top of the list for me in terms of things that send me into a fury/panic the quickest. I can't stand it. I want to move but cant. It's sort of claustrophobic to me. Some days it's tolerable, but on my bad days, look out. Seriously. Look out.

I've often fantasized about if I ever was super rich, I'd drive around in crappy cars just so I could run people off the road for causing traffic stupidly or pointlessly braking repeatedly or driving way too slow or erratically. And when they eventually took my license, Id pay someone else to drive me about and instruct them to do the same.

I hate it with the blackest of hatreds.

I hate traffic mostly because of the noise it causes. Traffic creates a background noise that makes the air rather oppressive and other sounds hard for me to hear. I find such a situation very stressful.

It's the same for me. Sensory overload + basic irritability at the slowness of the cars is not a great mix for a driver.

I think, and have long thought, that cars, bikers and pedestrians need to be segregated.

It would only bother me if it wasn't moving because I usually get anxious and panicky if I'm any situation where I feel trapped and can't just leave.

I hate traffic. My commute to work is 45 minutes without traffic, but with traffic it can be up to 90 minutes. It's a crappy way to spend such a large chunk of time. And it's not something that you really get used to either... You'd think after dealing with traffic twice a day 5 days a week I'd be used to it by now... But nope, I still find it absolutely infuriating. It's a lot better if I'm at least moving, even like 5 mph, I can deal with that a lot easier than a complete stop. Can't stand being stuck at a dead stop for more than a couple minutes.

i hate it! my entire life i have had to endure the endless noise of a busy main street behind my house. summers are so much worse as idiots on their motorcycles blast by (and rev their engines at the stop light making even more unnecessary noise)

it has only been recently that i have "discovered" earplugs. the relief of the silence when i put them in is like a drug.

Who doesn't hate heavy traffic? I thought everyone did.

there were times that I thought the roar of heavy traffic was strangely soothing, in that it was almost like a tactile aural massage. the vibrations seems to overpower my negative thoughts, replacing them with just the noise and fury of thousands of cars going every which way.

Don't mind traffic, means I can sing along to my music in the car longer.

I wish the traffic managing people did! but they keep going down this stoopid road of "multiple use."

cheaper in the manner of "externalizing costs."
