My username is "saxgeek" because I play the saxophone, and I'm interested in computers and programming.
The Gamecube is my favorite video game console and very fun to play, so I chose that as my avatar.

Caffeine exerts most of its effects by blocking a compound know as adenosine, and caffeine was what I (attempted) to use as an ADHD treatment before I had meds.

Username is my initials followed by 123 because I like 123 I guess.

Avatar represents Zero from Borderlands and has a double meaning as it represents another username Zero which I had on a handful of sites.

I created this SN when I was having problems on other forum & wanted to distance myself from them. I was joining a minor site & wanted a different SN & couldn't really think of anything so I listed my nickname & put the 007 after cuz I thought it sounded kewl. I ended up leaving the problem sites/forums & couldn't think of anything I liked for an SN so I just stuck with the nick007. My avatar is from the Nickelodeon show Rabbids Invasion.

Potato is often used to describe something of inferior quality. Sentient was stuck in front, because I figured to go with being a literal walking, talking potato.

I did happen upon a reference to a sentient potato on these boards, but I found it after I took this username, so any coincidence is just that.

Sylveon is the pokemon that got me through my depression.

Wow! You watch Angel Beats? That was my first anime ever!! I ship yui and hinata like fedex.

i came up with this username because of a casual word game i had been playing at the time. i can have a bit of an obsession with words and etymology and semantics and so on sometimes, so i thought something related to words made sense. and i liked the sound of it. it also felt like it worked as a sort of metaphor, because i can't keep up with the changes that keep happening in my own head, and it often feels like "the basic elements stay the same, but what i am today is a rearranged version of what i was yesterday"

i change my avatar (and my signature along with it) all the time. for the aforementioned reason, i suppose... it just doesn't feel right after a while, and then there's something i like and "feels right", and i change it to that. the current one is from this video:

avatar is the late actor art carney, in character as "henry corwin," a down on his luck department store santa, dissipated and on an express train to skid row- but he finds a unique redemption at the end. the username is borrowed from the late johnny carson's tonight show "mighty carson art players" stock character "aunt blabby" which is itself a rip-off of jonathan winters' "maude frickert" character.

My avatar is a young Virginia Woolf (early 20th c. English novelist, short story writer, and literary critic.)
Most of my restricted interests have been people, and she is one of my longest-running.
Also one of my favorite pictures of anyone-ever. It hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in London

I'm too tired to explain my username; abbreviated character from very long, very old poem. Let's s let that suffice. Doesn't represent me very well anyway. Good night.

"B9" is the model of the robot in a 1960's TV show called "lost in space".
it was the only animated thing i admired when i was about 2 until about 8 years old.

the name "B9" was said only once in the entire series which spanned about 4 years of weekly episodes. it was the robot's response to a question from another robot to identify himself.
other robot: stop!! ! identify yourself!! !
lost in space robot: i am a robot of the class "B9" designed primarily as an environmental control utility to assist the crew of the "jupiter 2" (a space ship bound for alpha centauri).

apart from that, the robot was just called "robot" in every instance of reference during the series.

i liked that the robot was more seemingly capable than any of the human crew that owned it, and never asserted any self will against them (apart from the first few episodes), and was often responsible for crucial calculations that saved their lives, but they never really appreciated him as anything else than a machine.

he was also capable of a 40,000 volt discharge from his "hand claws" for a duration of 60 seconds (or a number of shorter bursts amounting to 60 seconds (as described in one episode where his battery went flat during a fight)) on one charge of his nuclear powerpack.

whatever, that's a description of "b9"

edit: an amusing coincidence is that i got a checkbox while posting this that said "i'm not a robot" that i had to check before posting.

Username is from my favorite movie Videodrome. It's a strange surreal movie that I think is loosely inspired by the ideas of Marshall Mcluhan.

My current avatar is of the main character in the movie The Zero Theorem.
