I have been reading about how blood type effects your personality. Can't really know if it is true. Supposedly my AB blood type makes me different than most. It is also supposedly the newest blood type. O must be too. My brother is O. Don't know how someone could possibly figure that out. Just wondering if any of you have the rarer blood types.

O- is the universal donor
AB + is the universal receptor

:star: excellent poll :star:
mr. edge says: With regard to transfusions of packed red blood cells, individuals with type O Rh D negative blood are often called universal donors, and those with type AB Rh D positive blood are called universal recipients; however, these terms are only generally true with respect to possible reactions of the recipient's anti-A and anti-B antibodies to transfused red blood cells, and also possible sensitization to Rh D antigens.

I think O was the Original blood type, then as soon as mankind settled down and farmed, A and B and AB came along.

I don't know what my blood type is. I've only had my blood tested maybe a hundred times over the years, but doctors never tell you anything.

Anyway, I wouldn't take something like that seriously, it's a Japanese superstition so knowing your blood type for other than medical reasons is kind of a big deal in their country. :)

In 9th grade they made me prick my own finger, and test myself in biology class. That is how I know I am AB.

Figured as much. But then again, when it comes to science, sometimes you never can tell. Says some hokus pokus about my diet being different too. Low stomach acid mambo jambo or something. It's pritty red, I know that for sure. I bleed alot.
