3 Kebab places (2 also do burgers and pizza)
3 Fish and chip places
2 Chinese food places
2 Indian food places
1 Pizza place

Some of them are in a part of town I don’t know how to get to. 2 Kebab places are online. Another Kebab place operates from a trailer in the car park near me. There’s 1 Chinese place within the area I walk.

The only places that belongs to a national chain are Dominos (That’s not cheap as pizza places go, and the pizzas are nothing special) and I think 2 Dolphin fish bars.

At my previous address there were far more, including places that would deliver a breakfast. It’s not a bad thing as I don’t have umpteen takeaway leaflets like I had at my previous place. I guess I order 2-3 a month compared to the 12-14 a month at my previous place.

About the same ratio, but with 5 "Mexican" restaurants for all of those you mentioned.

I notice you put Mexican in inverted commas. Was there a reason for that?

The only places anywhere near us that deliver food are pizza places. Two are chains, Domino's & Papa John's & the other is a local place called Leonardo's. We only ordered from Leonardo's a couple times. We might could get other food delivered if we used Grubhub but we never tried.

Since we're for the time being in the apartment in the city I'm in take-out heaven (not that I use it much). I can get anything from Ethiopian food to steaks...

I’ve been to Mexico many times. The fast food served as “Mexican” in California has about as much in common with real Mexican cooking as chop suey has with real Chinese cooking.

1 burger place that’s open 5 days a week, not very late. We only eat out when we travel.

None.Saves quite a bit of money.
I don’t think the dog bringing me a dead groundhog counts.

There are quite a number. Some are 'chippies' (fish and chip shops), largely under Chinese ownership now, and there are several Indian-type takeaways. These are not quite up to the standard of the ones I remember in East London a decade or two ago. In particular, the establishments round here don't seem to know how to make a really good Doner Kebab.

A dead groundhog would be quite a delicacy when compared to the salmonella salons we have around here.

I can't remember when I last had a takeaway... around 1987 I think.

I really like eating out but I only really do it when we go shopping or out for some other reason. Unfortunately the McDonald's at the mall closed a year or so ago. The mall is on the bus route to WalMart & we would sometimes eat there on our way to WalMart & we go to WalMart a couple times a month. Now the main place I eat at is the Dunkin Donuts at WalMart. My girlfriend takes a bus to another town a couple times a month at least to visit her family & she eats out when she does.

She scratched on the door and when I opened it she dropped it at my feet.It was very generous of her to share but I’d rather she brought home a pizza. :D

It was a fresh one,she had just killed it.At one time in the Ozarks it would have went in the pot and it’s hide made into shoe strings or a banjo skin.
