What generation are you?

I left out the Greatest Generation. Everyone of that generation is over 90 years old and I don't think we posters here from that generation.

I'm Generation X in person, a Baby Boomer in spirit.

I wouldn't call them that the 'greatest' generation, not really. I mean if the greatest generation that ever lived has already lived and died I guess there isn't much hope for humanity since no one will ever measure up.

Anyway to answer the question I'd be a millenial, pretty sure.

I thought Baby Boomers were the greatest generation. They brought us peace, love and LGBTQ rights.

what exactly did they do for LGBTQ rights? Seems it was still pretty 'unacceptable' when I was a kid, like it was still treated rather taboo whereas since I've grown up seems it's much less taboo and now there are same sex marriges.

The Greatest Generation is not extinct. Everyone of that generation is really old however. Queen Elizabeth, Jimmy Carter, Betty White.

Well even so what makes them the greatest?

When I was younger, they said I was from generation Y. Because the year 2000 was popular, they changed it to 'millennials'. Gen Z was the first one to be artificially created by the marketers.

Now that they used the last letter of the alphabet, they go to the first one, A.
But it wouldn't be an easy sell. By calling it 'Alpha' instead thy make it sound like 'Brave New World'.

Divide and conquer your markets, then sell kids specifics way of living based on your boss's products and services, and voilà.

I wanted to post a YouTube clip from an old Simpsons episode with a Generation X individual, but my search was botched and I had to sieve down all the Family Guy videos. I don't like Family Guy, it's not my generation.

It's marketing all the way down.

I was born in the early 90s, so I assume that I'm a millennial?

Yep, same as me though I'm a few years older than you.

I don't know. It's just a name. The Silent Generation isn't particularly silent either. I'm sure they're as talkative as other generations.

Evidently I’m a millennial. I didn’t know that until I just looked it up on Google, never really knew much about generation classifications.
