Haven't even ordered that many things off the internet this year.. but still, with a handful of packages on the way it's kinda like opening gifts when things arrive and I open the boxes and go "Oh yeah, I ordered that.." lol simple pleasures I guess.

Today I opened up a brand new 20" golden stainless steel Kraft Tools trowel + proform rubberized handle I bought from some drywall tool website. Kinda stoked to use it - maybe as soon as tmw. I already cleaned it off and swapped the rubberized handle on. Scored a deal too, approx $110 delivered whereas the same trowel w/ proform handle on amazon is $236. 8O

Thought the 2nd package that arrived might be some headphones I ordered on a black Friday sale (status audio between model was the best value, less than 1/2 price and I wouldn't benefit from the noise cancelling tech in the latest and greatest anyways) but I opened the box and it's a radio controlled truck I ordered from amazon a few days ago as it's on my brother's Christmas list and I drew his name in our gift exchange. He's 48 years old with a house full of kids/step kids and all that and this was the "silliest," thing on his wish list so I thought F it, if he wants to play with a toy car, whatever.. I'll get it Because it's the least practical thing on his list that he would have the hardest time justifying buying for himself. Plus it happened to be the highest % off on sale of all the things on his wish list so was the best overall value.

Still waiting on the headphones and another tool. Can't remember if I ordered anything else - will be reminded if it shows up I guess. Probably will order more crap soon for Christmas gifts and then have more surprises showing up in the mail.

Anyone else having fun opening up surprises showing up on your doorstep? :p

Got a new sofa arriving in the next few weeks. I've gone a bit mad with ordering stuff lately.

My daughter got Amazon prime for the month so she can get delivery

I'd rather use eBay personally

My mom uses prime but I don't bother paying for it because I have nearly zero interest in watching tv stuff and I don't order enough stuff from amazon all year to make it worth the free shipping. I usually order enough stuff at once to get free shipping, though. Sometimes I pay for shipping when I have to - but really it's built into the cost of the product and we pay for it anyways, just not as a separate line item.

The only annoying thing I've heard is that more and more products are ONLY available to prime members. Jerks. IF I ever have to order anything like that I won't sign up and pay $10/mo I'll just get my mom to order it.

I'm off to work for the afternoon/evening, but never know, might do some late night clicky clicky order order again. :D

I considered cancelling Amazon Prime as I don't need much stuff these days.
But, I love their tracking system so I know when stuff is scheduled to arrive.

Yeah I don't like prime. It did used to be good when not everything on there was on prime but these days Amazon is usually more expensive than eBay plus it's always 4.99 delivery unless you sign up for prime.

I only ever really check eBay for hard to find items once in a blue moon.

Amazon shipping is usually free on orders over $35. Shipping prices vary otherwise, usually $5-10, sometimes more for bulky items or overseas shipping.

I've ordered a German flag coffee mug off Amazon last week on Welfare Wednesday. It will arrive early next week.

Ordered a large pack of various fidget toys to give out as gifts. It came in today! Was super fun to explore what all was included

I love threads like this. I get to see all the different things that my fellow WP family members are interested in.

Most of the packages I've been getting aren't mine. My kids have been having their stuff sent here for various reasons and at the moment, I have a dining room table covered with gifts they gave bought for whoever. Lol. That table has been rendered useless. Most impressively though, my grandson wanted to order his mom some things he paid for himself (he did chores and got good grades and earned $25), so he handed me that money and asked if I would order stuff for him. It was really sweet, he picked out some stuffed animals for her and felt all accomplished. He was so proud of himself for buying that all by himself. It was cute.

I do my compulsive shopping in phases, apart from black friday I'm currently in the off season right now.

Ebay is a trap, $5 here $20 there. It really adds up.

Tbh, I think I have more fun shopping than I do opening the package the former involves a lot of research which I enjoy

I've never forgotten about a product I've ordered, but I have been surprised with how quickly or slowly they arrive.

^ $5-20.. I wish. My bills are much more expensive. Just paid $1250 or so for a root canal a couple weeks ago. The only things I get for $5-20 are cheap meals, really.
