I like driving and speeding sometimes happens. I have never been able to talk myself out of a ticket? Anyway whats the fastest you've ever gone. My best was 144 on my friends CBR 954 RR. It was insane and that thing still had more left.

Dodge Challenger, 1975, speedo was pegged (nice long, straight, Texas highway 8) )

Harley Davidson, 1986, mmmm, fast but that's all I want to say (My best was 144 on my friends CBR 954 RR frickin' crotch rocket! )

Recombent bicycle, just a few days ago, downhill, over 30mph! 8O

Pretty close to 200 mph in my neighbors Mercedes. I don't know the cars details other then it was only powered by one wheel (engine wasn't even straining). I wasn't driving either, he was trying to scare myself & another girl. The blank expressions that come so easily to people with autism really paid off there... ticked him off I didn't react in terror - his clear goal.

Some friends & I used to do a lot of downhill biking around here - not sure the speeds reached though.

I once roared up Route 151 along Køge Bugt at around 200 km/h (which has a 50 km/h limit in places), completely ignoring traffic lights and all. And it was easy-peasy, but hey, traffic isn't THAT heavy on a sunday at noon -- especially not at some 700 feet ABOVE the street -- in a Cessna 172 light aircraft :P

Oh, GROUND traffic you say? Hmm, I always chickened out with the brake if my bike got up around 40 km/h going down hill. In cars, I'm not sure -- other than the fact that cab drivers always seem to be 10-20 km/h above the legal limit when driving on the motorway...

I got 53 from a Honda C70.

When I was a bike mechanic, I took the Honda CB900 test bike home for the eveining and took a mate out on the bike to see what this new wonderbike could really do.

It could only manage 115 whereas my Norton could do 121,
anyway, took this Honda down to Brighton seafront where at 10 oclock at night, we wondered if we could make last oreders at 10:30 at our local in South London, nigh on 50 miles away with towns, roundabouts, taffic lights and single carriageway roads a plenty, we did!

Those old Hondas might have been slow and ugly, but they could take a good thrashing!

I once hit 42 MPH on a bicycle going downhill on Water Street in Jacous in York County PA.
I used ride a Honda Shadow V-twin at a little over 90 MPH. The fastest I did in a car was around 80.

Somewhere over 120mph in a Plymouth Acclaim, losing a race with a Mitsubishi. Probably the fastest any car of that model has ever gone.

Haven't driven faster than 115 km/h (hell freezes over before I start using the US units :P). Driving faster than this on crappy norwegian roads can be very dangerous...

140mph in a car (Porsche 911 turbo, driving)
125mph on a bike (GSXR 1100, pillion)
35mph on my horse - (ex-racehorse)
30mph on a cycle - going down hill, free-wheeling

These days I never go over 90mph - one car struggles and the other gets too thirsty :)

I forgot to add that I did a top speed of 25MPH on my bicycle (going downhill), but immediately had to slow down to avoid falling off it

I don't speed on purpose in a car. I once got to 95 mph by accident going down a long straight hill on the highway but slowed down to 65 as soon as I noticed I was going so fast. I'm a wuss when it comes to doing anything against the law. Cops scare the crap out of me.

I fell off my bike going 30 mph down a hill when I was 12. I hit a sand patch and started going out of control so that the only option was to jump off the bike. Thank god I was wearing a helmet because when I touched the ground I flipped over a few times and smacked my head on the pavement. Luckily I didn't break anything but I tore up my clothes and skinned the whole right side of my body very badly. I literally had hunks of skin hanging off me. I'm never going that fast on a bike ever again.
