My idea is that our perception of time is shaped by how many memories we have... A day where you do a lot of stuff seems longer because you remember more of it. Whereas a day you slack off and accomplish nothing seems to fly by.

of course there are probably other factors, too

Sundays seem incredibly long. Still days seem longer than windy ones. I love it when the day just flies by, it's over before you know it.

Time goes more quickly as you age too, when I was young time really dragged for me, but now the years fly by.

I agree. It's that way with the years for me, too.

I have this suspicion that microsleep is involved in days that seem to go fast.

it makes me happy, nonetheless

i remember that when i was little, time seemed to take forEVER to move along. it seemed like eternity between one birthday and the next (May) or between my birthday and Christmas (7 mos). now, it seems like i just turned 23, but my 28th birthday is in less than 2 months. i the more time that goes by, the faster it goes.

except on those agonizing days when i work from 7a-11p. AWFUL! i feel like i've been there for DAYS, not just 16 hours.

then there are the rare occasions when i get to see one of my far-away friends...those hours go by altogether too quickly.

Today is moving at kind of an average rate. It should speed up later.

Today is moving very slowly, but that's because I had to take a strong pain med for a killer headache. So I feel like I'm wading through jello :) .
