Psychoanalytical and psychodynamic theorists have postulated that, in pathological narcissists, a grandiose false self is constructed and projected onto the social environment; the narcissist expects his or her environment to "mirror" back this image through constant praise and unflaggering admiration. The true self is whithered and repressed away. Now, I suspect most of us aren't narcissistic, and so our situations are by and large the inverse; but let's give our grandiose false selves a chance to shine, anyway!
For posts to this topic, please be sure to state an accomplishment or admirable quality about yourself. Exaggeration, devaluing the role others' played, and outright fabrication are encouraged! Don't feel ashamed. It's what narcissists do (and we're pretending to be narcissists for this thread only).
Nota bene: Do not extend the narcissism to a callous attitude towards other people who have posted here. This is just for boasting.
P.S.: I do not have a boast of my own to share.
