Sorry, but mirth is harder to hide than hate and anger, fear and sadness, annoyance or disgust, or love and happiness.

That was interesting.

There is a kind of light well around one side of my building, and it drops about three feet below the level of the adjacent sidewalk to let light into the basement windows. A few minutes ago someone who was apparently not paying attention backed over the sidewalk and wedged their rear tires down into the light well. Then they revved their engine trying to get out and burned up the tires, generating a huge cloud of smoke that came in through the windows and set off all the fire alarms in the building. The fire engines showed up, and the police, and then they had to call a wrecker to pull the stuck car out of the light well. 8O

I have been watching a lot of Star Trek: Voyager on BBC lately. Janeway and Seven of Nine are amazing! :) I have decided to change my name from Gwen to Three of Five :D

I agree completely. Like some of the other ST series, Voyager got off to a rocky start, but once they got rid of Kes and replaced her with Seven of Nine, the episodes really improved. The three great original creations that ST gave to the world were Spock, Data, and Seven of Nine. (The captains were often great, but ship captains have been standard characters in literature for 3000 years -- they are standards, whereas Spock, Data, and Seven are originals.)

Darmok: Seven of Nine is one of my favourites.

Definitely :) Spock and Data are definitely my favorite original series and Next Generation characters, respectively. I think Voyager might actually be my favorite Star Trek series and Seven of Nine is definitely my favorite character from it, though I think all of the characters are great.

As for my name change, my mom said "No, I'm not calling you that!" but she did say that our next cat or dog can be Seven if I'd like :D

and Kura, Yay!! ! :D I actually have two Star Trek: TNG and Doctor Who crossover graphic novels, they are fantastic! I highly recommend you check them out if you are a fan of both DW and Star Trek. Unfortunately, Seven of Nine isn't in them :(

Seriously, people need to stop accusing me of having a desire to do lose weight.

"If you don't want to lose weight why are you doing the whole 30 diet?"

The answers are simple. I like the diet because it's a healthy diet and wanting a healthy diet doesn't mean I want to trade in my size 20 jeans for a size 00 bikini. There's more to diet than striving to be thin which is far from my desire.

^Same here, actually. I used to watch the old episodes from TOS and Voyager that my mum had taped, and we would watch them together.
TheSilentOne: I think I've read those graphic novels, or at least seen a few pictures of them.

I've been a fan since I was little too. My whole family would watch TNG and the original series when I was a little kid. We even used to have a dog named Spock! lol My older sister and mom named him that because he had pointy ears. He got out once and we always refer to that day as "The Search for Spock"

My dad, sisters, brother, and I all had a great conversation about Star Trek today. My younger sister doesn't really enjoy Science Fiction a lot (she likes things like Harry Potter and Hunger Games though), but I'm getting my 5-year old brother into Sci-Fi and he already loves Pokemon and Batman. We were discussing the different captains and the new movies (which my older sister hasn't seen yet, but I told her to watch them :) ) They let me talk on and on about Voyager and how much I'm loving it and of course they let me discuss Doctor Who! :D
