I haven't washed my hair for around 2 months now.
Only a rinse in the ocean a few times a week.

Things I noticed: dandruff has completely cleared up.
Scalp doesn't itch incessantly, or get crusty spots.
Doesn't get greasy.
Doesn't get dirty.
No post shampoo fluff.
Stays in place.
Repels water.
Dries quickly.
No more hairwashing meltdowns.

My hairdresser was right. :D

Swimming in the ocean a few times a week sounds heavenly. : -) Not the north Pacific, though. :-(
